About
Us
Ministry means to serve one another. In scripture, Ministry and service
are similar. They occur more than 250 times in the New Testament.
Jesus set the tone for God’s people when he said, “The
Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and give his life
as a ransom for many.” He taught his disciples to think in the
same way. “If anyone wants to be first he must be the very last,
and the servant of all.” When we understand Ministry as service-
there is ample opportunity for all.
Jesus said that giving a cup of cold water in his name is valued as
service. There are many ways to serve. The Apostle Peter gave instruction,
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve
others, faithfully.” Now, this idea of each one serving with
whatever one has sounds random but there is power in it- -
Our Mission for Nation Ministry is to Love God, Love One Another and
To Serve in your community, making a difference in the name of Jesus.
Ephesians 2: 10- “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus for good works.” In which God prepared before hand, so
that we would walk in them.”
The Great Commandment- Jesus said, “ You shall love the Lord
your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all
your mind.” This is the great and foremost commandment. The
second is similar, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Mathew 22:36-39
Church Without Walls
When Jesus said, “ And upon this rock I will build my church.”
Mathew 16: 18. He placed emphasis not on the word church, but on the
word, “My.” The church is unique not only because it is
the assembly of believers, but because they belong to Jesus constituting
his body, which belongs to the Lord. Trusting in Jesus as our Savior
is being apart of the body of Christ (Team Player).
Moving Beyond Traditional Boundaries
Nation Ministry could possibly make Church Leaders all over the world
uncomfortable with their present approach to Ministry. The Great Commission
Mark 16:15, “Go into the world and preach the gospel to all
creation,” which includes The Raider Nation around the world.
When I became a Pastor with the Foursquare Gospel Church, the Lord
put it in my heart to go back and preach the gospel to Raider fans.
I’m quite sure The Raider Nation would ask, “Who are you…
to preach to us about Jesus!”?-
Raider Football isn’t just an event but a way of life. As former
President of the Orange County Raider Booster Club in Southern California,
for eighteen years- I know the lifestyle of a Raider fan. I lived
it! The passion of being a fan. The good, the bad and the ugly. The
power of choice in life. Personally I can testify to the bad and the
ugly, and the good… I came to know Jesus.
My natural response- how and where do I share the gospel to the Raider
Nation, Lord!
By habit, church has come to mean a place where we build up believers-
Throughout history the church has made every effort to preserve the
purity of the gospel. As a result we’ve evolved into congregations
and denominations that meet inside the walls of a building and ignoring
the message of Jesus- to make the gospel truly accessible and transforming.
God’s strategy and blue print to reach millions of Raider fans
world wide came simply to use the internet, simplifying the message
of the gospel. Christ came as Israel’s King, and only after
they had rejected him did he employ the Parables. It was an effective
method of revealing truth to the spiritual and ready mind. At the
same time concealing it from others- The Parables and
the Raider Lifestyle.
To trust in Jesus and serve in Ministry in our community is Our Great
Commission.
My prayer as Founder of Nation Ministry is that for those of you who
have a personal relationship with the Lord- to share this website
with those Raider fans that don’t know Jesus.
Sincerely,
Pastor Armando Leon
