Loud and Proud! From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing My brethren, these things ought not to be this way... (James 3:10) Have some of you ever wondered out loud were did that come from? Sometimes we can get the feeling that we have a split personality! Talking trash? Talking smack! One thing that is being missed by many people is the devil is at work, James says in verse (8) But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison and he goes on to say in verse (14-16) But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, and demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. One of Satan's most brilliant strategies is to convince us he does not have any power or much less exit, when all the while he is manipulating our thoughts. Knowing that we as believers are at work to do away with the old mindset and the old behavior pattern, Satan works through the fallen nature of man getting us to think, say and eventually do the evil things he does? We are no match for Satan and his team of demons that are constantly attacking our minds! They do pack a punch if you don't know it's them? Like a blitzing Linebacker going after a QB, the good news they are certainly no match for God, even so we don't want to tangle with the kingdom of darkness we want to stand behind God's protection... just like the Raiders QB stands behind his offense Linemen. It's important to recognize God's game plan of reconciliation through Jesus Christ, First the Lord must get our attention that there's some adjustments that must be made within the inner man, It's ironic that most people have no indication that the Holy Spirit is at work to make those adjustments in that old mindset and behavior pattern that puts us in that mode to talk smack! And that's where Satan's role is exposed to the many believers in Christ He must first ask permission when it comes to the children of God. Because of the hedge of protection that God has placed around us. Here's the cool thing about God's word in Matthew 4:10 Then Jesus said to him, "Go, Satan! For it is written, YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY. "Wow! The god of this world must "Bow Down! To almighty God...It's important to bear in mind when Jesus said to Peter, Satan has been asking about you and has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail... (Luke 22:31-32) have some of you felt pressure from the Lord to change direction with the words you speak? Are some of you getting the feeling that Satan has been asking about you by "Name! That you be taken out of God's protection! Don't worry Raiders in Christ, God won't give you more than you can handle. On the same hand if some of you are getting the feeling that Satan is asking for you by name maybe it's time to change direction. Let's leave the yelling for when the Raider Defense is on the field! now that sounds like a good place to make some Noise? As James closes in chapter 3-in verse (17) he speaks of the wisdom from above is first and pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy... It's important to remember it's a heart condition that the Lord desires to heal... Raider Nation, I'm out! "Keep your cool"

"Straight Up!
And He withdrew from them about a stone's throw away, and He knelt down and began to pray, saying, "Father, if Your are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done" Luke 22: 41-42... In order to fulfill your destiny, you have to know your purpose. You need a plan according to His will? Paul in a letter to the Colossians, (The church at Colosse which was teaching false philosophy and Dangerous doctrines) says-For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; We need a plan based on God's will and then we must work that plan. We should wake up each day. Knowing where were headed, which direction we are taking, and what we are going to accomplish and then stick with it! As we seek Gods plan, He is able to destroy the strong holds in our lives as well in our circles of influence. The best example in the bible is in the Lords calling He stuck to the Father's will! In return the iron grip that Satan had on this world was destroyed by the obedience of Jesus Christ. Here's an excellent example where the work of our Lord comes into play where He destroys the strong holds in our lives. The most prominent of the 12 apostles in the Gospels and an outstanding leader in the early days of the Christian church, His name was Simon also known as "Peter" His ministry actually started on a bumpy road, the funny thing is that the Lord warned him on every situation. In Luke 22:31-32 Jesus sets the tone for destroying the strong hold that Satan had on Peter, the Lord said Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers." Peters, life took so many twists and turns, at the end He become that teacher and preacher that God had called him to be! On the day of Pentecost, Acts 2:14-47 But Peter, taking his stand with the eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: "Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give heed to my words...verse-14-36, (PETERS SERMON) concludes with Peter, strengthening his fellow brothers. Just like Jesus said. In verse (37) Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?" verse (38) Peter said to them, "Repent and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the Holy Spirit. Verse (39) For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself." Raider Nation, have you been listing and gazing at other gods other than the Lord? Jesus is ready to break the stranglehold that Satan has on your life! Peter was loud and proud like today's Raider fan "The good, bad and the ugly! The good? there is a God that will break the Strong Holds! And put us in the right frame of mind to recognize He's calling on the Raider Nation to get their game on! this message was "Hard! And straight up! If you're having a hard time with this message look into your children's eye's or a love one and tell them where okay without Jesus...

"Victory!
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Romans 8:1-2 You can't make a decision or take a step without first thinking about it, and it eventually will change the course of your life. It's important to keep your thoughts on God's word, seek His plan, and promise for your life. Paul says there's no condemnation for those in Christ! Then why do so many struggle, after verse (2) In the book of Romans in chapter 8, Paul goes back and forth about the law and the mindset of the flesh and the spirit, In verse (13) Paul, says for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. The adversary knows that if he can convince you to live according to how you feel, and then he will be able to keep you in spiritual shackles in defeat. Don't fall into his trap by allowing your emotions to affect your daily decisions and rule your life. As you allow the Lord to direct your every step, you will see your life unfold before the eyes of your heart? As Paul, continues to share in relation to victory in Christ, in verse 26-27 He says in the same way the spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to His purpose. God created us as emotional beings. Throughout our lives every one of us has experienced different types of emotions and feelings-triggered by a word, a thought, a song, or a picture. Our emotions allow us to give expression to what's inside our hearts. The Holy Spirit will show us what part of us is set on the flesh, and to bring us into alignment with the spirit. In order to set us free from the spiritual shackles, one thing that holds true is that God does not condemn us nor does He remember our sin, but He knows our pain. The bible says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, Hebrews 13:8- Today the Lords desire is for us to recognize that yesterdays mindset will not fall in line with his Spirit which will set us free from the desires of the flesh. As we allow the Lord to direct our every step, we will see His hand bring us into victory, tranquility will unfold in every area of our lives, now that sure sounds like a good thing. Amen!
